Albany, GA – On Monday, March 16, Tuesday, March 17, and Wednesday, March 18, the City of Albany will activate Operation Safe Place to provide people with a warm place to stay overnight.
According to the current forecast, cold temperatures are expected on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights.
The Albany Transit Center at 300 W. Oglethorpe Boulevard will be open from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will serve as a warming center, and regular operations will resume at 7 a.m. the following day.
We will continue to monitor the weather to determine whether the warming center needs to be extended or additional days need to be included.
