Public Notice Disposition of Real Property
The City of Albany, Department of Community and Economic Development, is seeking to dispose of City-owned rental properties as identified below. It seeks to provide public notice as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), as the properties were acquired or improved with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) or HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) funds.

The properties will be marketed for sale at Fair Market Value (FMV), as determined by the assessed tax value or a certified, independent appraisal. Sales at less than FMV can be considered should an interested party demonstrate that a HUD National Objective of low and moderate benefit will be met. Sales at less than FMV will result in the property being sold subject to deed restrictions for a specified time period. All interested parties are required to complete a Disposition Application for review and consideration. Disposition applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and the City reserves the right not to consider incomplete applications. Final approval of the disposition of City-owned property may be subject to the Board of City Commissioners. To make application for purchase of the properties, please obtain a Disposition Application from: City of Albany Department of Community & Economic Development, 230 South Jackson St., Suite 315, Albany, GA 31702 on Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or the application may be retrieved online through our Properties for Sale page.
