Fleet Management repairs and maintains city-owned vehicles and equipment, providing a centrally located pool of vehicles for out-of-town travel and special projects. Fleet Management generates specifications for new vehicles, inspects new vehicles upon delivery for compliance with specifications, and maintains three (3) fuel sites.
Fleet Management is a customer-oriented department dedicated to providing the highest quality service to all City departments courteously and professionally at all times. The department is responsible for purchasing and maintaining safe & reliable vehicles/equipment, providing timely mechanical support, and delivering services & products that are safe, efficient, and cost-effective. Fleet contributes to the quality of life in the City of Albany by partnering with our customers to provide expertise and cost-effective service delivery while fostering the preservation of natural resources.
