The City of Albany Utilities, a nonprofit community-based local utility provider since 1912, serves approximately 37,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Albany Utilities is a full-service utility provider offering electricity, water, natural gas, sanitary sewer, solid waste, and telecommunications services. The utilities consist of two major departments: Utility Administration and Utility Operations. The City takes pride in the level of service it provides to its customers.
Customers benefit from our affiliations with the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG) and the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia (MGAG), which enable us to provide the best services and resources available to our community. The best interest of our citizenry is our priority.
