The Office of the City Attorney acts as an independent legal advisor, attorney, and counsel to the municipality and all its officers in matters relating to their official duties. Additionally, the office is responsible for deciding purely legal questions, as well as preparing and/or reviewing legal documents in the administration of all civil, legal, and quasi-legal matters. The office serves as the source for Ordinances and Resolutions, as well as for real estate closings, and is the designated open records officer.
