Albany, GA – On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the Georgia Forestry Commission issued a mandatory burn ban in most South Georgia counties, including Dougherty County.
This burn ban is effective immediately and will remain in place for at least 30 days.
This is the first mandatory burn ban in Georgia Forestry Commission history.
