Albany, GA — On Monday, November 10, 2025, the City of Albany will activate Operation Safe Place to provide a warm place for people to stay overnight.
According to the current forecast, freezing temperatures are expected overnight beginning on the 10th and continuing through Tuesday, November 11. The City will open the Albany Transit Center, located at 300 W. Oglethorpe Boulevard, on Monday, November 10, and Tuesday, November 11, with the possibility of extending the opening to Wednesday, November 12, depending on the forecast. Each day, the warming center will be available from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day. The Transit Center will be open to the public from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
