Albany, GA – On Thursday, October 8, 2026, the Albany-Dougherty County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will be virtually activated at 5 p.m.

In anticipation of increased activity in Downtown Albany and the surrounding areas during Albany State University’s (ASU) Homecoming Parade and festivities, the City of Albany is actively preparing to ensure public safety and smooth operations.

The Dougherty County Emergency Management Agency will continue to monitor the festivities and provide updates as needed.

In addition to the Homecoming celebrations, the EOC will be available to assist with any weather-related questions or issues as we prepare for Isaias's effects.

Please use the EOC to report non-emergency damage, such as downed trees, downed power lines, flooded streets, etc.

The EOC will be available to answer questions and assist you from 5 p.m. Thursday through 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 11. You can reach the EOC at (229) 302-1900.

Please use 911 for emergencies only.
