Albany, GA – The City of Albany is currently providing people with a warm place to stay overnight through Operation Safe Place.
According to the current forecast, freezing temperatures are now expected overnight throughout the rest of this week and into next week.
The Albany Transit Center at 300 W. Oglethorpe Boulevard will be open from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. today, Thursday, January 15th, through Wednesday, January 21st. The transit Center will resume regular operations at 7 a.m. on Thursday, January 22nd.
We will continue to monitor the weather to determine whether the warming center needs to be extended or if any additional days need to be included.
