Special Events
A special event permit is required when individuals, groups, or businesses plan to hold an event that utilizes city resources.
An application must be submitted for processing at least 20 business days before the event. If the permit is approved, it must be present and visible at the location during the event. All events with a stationary position require a diagram, which must be submitted indicating the layout of all vendor locations, activities, bandstands, emergency entry points, and information booths (including lost & found and first-aid stations).
A non-refundable application fee of $25.00 will be charged to cover the cost of processing. Additional charges may be required for certain government services and will be determined during the application review by city staff. Picketing, demonstrations, gatherings, processions, or any other activities protected by the U.S. Constitution shall be exempt from any fees and insurance requirements.
