R.E.A.C.H
Responding, Engaging, & Cultivating Hope
Purpose:
To deliver comprehensive response to individuals that are experiencing a mental health crisis through the collaboration of The Albany Police Department and Aspire Behavioral Health.
Role:
Provide response to mental health crisis via dispatch and facilitate follow-up through officer’s referrals.
Vision:
Reduce crisis surrounding mental health and connect individuals with resources and services.
Operational Overview:
- Call 911
- Tell dispatch the nature of the call
- Advice dispatch it may be a call for R.E.A.C.H
- A patrol officer will respond and assess the situation
- R.E.A.C.H Unit Respond, if needed
