Kendall Hodge
Director of Utility Operations

Mr. Hodge is a results-driven leader with over 28 years of utility experience. Over the course of his career, he has amassed a diverse professional background in which he has held various leadership roles in electric, water and gas distribution operations, real estate and facilities management, meter services, operational analysis, business strategy, engineering system design and capacity planning. Kendall is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. A motto of Howard University is “Excellence in Truth and Service”. This is a philosophy Mr. Hodge ascribes to and instills across the Utility Operations Organization.
Kurt Anthony
Deputy Director of Utility Operations

Kurt Anthony serves as the Deputy Director of Utility Operations for the City of Albany, bringing decades of hands-on experience and leadership in public utility services. A graduate of Dougherty High School in Albany and later attending Albany Junior College, later known as Darton College, Kurt began his career with the city as an Industrial Sampler, earning his State certification in Wastewater Treatment and quickly advancing through the ranks. He transitioned into the Drinking Water Department, progressing from Water Operator III to Water System Operator I, gaining extensive knowledge of water treatment and system operations. His leadership and technical expertise eventually led to his role as Water System Superintendent, responsible for the safe production, treatment, and distribution of drinking water across the community. Kurt holds several Georgia State certifications, including: Georgia Water Laboratory Analyst, Georgia Water System Operator I, Georgia Qualified Water Loss Auditor, Georgia Wastewater Operator III, and Georgia Backflow Tester. His commitment to excellence and operational integrity continues to support the City's mission of providing safe, reliable, and sustainable utility services to Albany's citizens.
