On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 1 p.m., the City of Albany will host its annual July 4th Celebration and Fireworks Show press conference at the Albany Police Department, 201 W. Oglethorpe Boulevarde, in the Media Room on the third floor.

Press Release - Portion of W. Mercer Ave. to Close for Construction

Beginning Tuesday morning, June 16, a portion of the 500 block of W. Mercer Ave., will be closed due to road construction.

The work is expected to last approximately one day, or until it is complete.

Drivers should use caution when driving in the area.
