The Southwest Georgia Public Health District will be conducting COVID-19 testing on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at at 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. There is NO CHARGE.

Resolution for Residents to Remain Sheltered in Place
The Mayor and Commissioners adopted a resolution on Friday, April 24, 2020, to encourage the residents of Albany to continue to Shelter in Place as outlined in Governor Brian Kemp’s Executive Order of April 2, 2020. Click HERE to read the full resolution.

The order will be effective beginning Friday, April 3rd, at 6:00 PM and expire Thursday, April 30th, at 11:59 PM.

City Manager's Employee Message
The Emergency Operations (EOC) Center officially opened on Monday, March 16, 2020, and continues to be open seven days a week, until further notice, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Updates will be provided each day from the EOC as details develop. Citizens can contact the EOC at 229.302.1900 for questions, concerns, and information on COVID-19.

Dougherty County and the CodeRED Emergency Notification System has established an ultra high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications.
CodeRED will only be used in the event of an emergency requiring immediate notification and information entered into the database will not be used for any other purpose. Questions should be directed to the Emergency Management Agency.
