A special event permit is required when individuals, groups, or businesses choose to have an event that requires the use of city resources.
An application must be submitted for processing at least 20 business days prior to the event. If the permit is approved, it must be present and visible at the location during the event. All events having a stationary position requires a diagram and it must be submitted indicating the layout of all vendor locations, activities, bandstands, emergency entry point, information booth (including lost & found and first-aid station).
A non-refundable application fee of $25.00 will be charged to cover the cost of processing. Other charges may be required for additional government services, and will be determined during the review of the application by city staff. Picketing, demonstrations, gatherings and processions or any other activities protected by the U.S. Constitutions shall be exempt from any fees, and insurance requirements.
