The Traffic Division coordinates efforts for the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, bicyclist and pedestrians within the city and county. Responsibilities within the City include installation and maintenance of traffic signals, signs and roadway markings together with conducting studies and preparing plans for implementing necessary modifications to improve traffic flow.

Residential Driveways
The Traffic Division is responsible for the permitting of all residential drives within the City of Albany. Applicants can complete the Residential Driveway Application (PDF) form and submit the application to the Engineering Department for review.
