Microbusiness Enterprise Center (MBEC)
The Microbusiness Enterprise Center (MBEC) is a business “Incubator” located at 230 South Jackson Street in the City. The MBEC serves as a focal point and a catalyst for the formation and growth of new and small businesses and provides direct business assistance and professional office space for lease at affordable rates. The MBEC offers workshops and trainings designed to address many financial and management challenges faced by small businesses to increase business success.

On September 14, 1995 an Economic Development Administration (EDA) Financial Assistance Award was made to the City of Albany to construct an Industrial Incubator to encourage the creation of jobs for low and moderate income persons by providing space conducive to the development of industrial businesses. The City’s Industrial Incubator, located at 1536 Dougherty Avenue Albany Georgia, is a 30,000 square foot facility that includes warehouse, office space, shipping and receiving areas to accommodate one or more small industrial type businesses.
