Albany, Ga-(April 26, 2019) The City of Albany extends its congratulations to a great corporate citizen, Proctor & Gamble Albany Plant.  Georgia Governor Brian Kemp recognized the Albany Plant by including this major economic engine for Southwest Georgia as a nominee for Georgia Manufacturer of the Year.

Earning this statewide recognition P&G in Albany represents our community well as it continues to serve as a valued community and economic partner.  As home to one of P&G’s paper products production sites, Albany is able to stake a position in international commerce as Bounty Paper Towels and Charmin Toilet Paper appear on market shelves throughout the world.

The City is proud of P&G and its 500 plus employees and we are encouraged by the brands continued world-wide success.  We are pleased to hear that the State of Georgia has recognized P&G for what we in Albany have always known, P&G Albany is one of the State’s finest manufactures.
