Department of Community and Economic Development Seeking CDBG Grant Proposals
Albany, GA (March 13, 2019) – The Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) is seeking Request for Proposals (RFP) for 2019-2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Service funding from nonprofit organizations with IRS 501(c)3 status who seek to provide quality community services to low-and-moderate-income persons.
All agencies interested in submitting a response to the RFP are strongly encouraged to attend the application meeting on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at the Microbusiness Enterprise Center located at 230 South Jackson Street (first-floor conference room) from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
“Leveraging CDBG Funding is vital in building the capacity of nonprofits, a continuation of the delivery of critical services, and addressing priority community needs,” said Shelena Hawkins, DCED Director.
The submission deadline for proposals is Wednesday, April 17, 2019, no later than 4:00 PM. Proposals should address targeted priority services as identified within the City’s 2016-2021 Consolidated Plan. The application for funding is available (CLICK HERE).
