28th Christmas Parade Applications

Please join us for the 28th Annual Celebration of Lights Albany Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 15, 2018 “We Need A Little Christmas” The parade begins at 6:00 p.m. This year our theme is “We Need A Little Christmas” – please join us as we celebrate the start of the Christmas Season!
For your convenience we have enclosed a parade application and a liability release form. The entry fees are listed below along with our contact information if you have any questions.
Your application, release form and entry fee must be returned to PO Box 683 or delivered to the reception desk at Albany Utilities .
There is only one Santa Claus – who magically appears at the end of the parade. We require that all floats and vehicles be decorated, to include the vehicle pulling your entry. Please keep in mind this year’s theme. Everyone riding on a float or walking must be in colorful Christmas clothing or costumes. Use your creativity and imagination to highlight your group. (Dressing festively entails wearing more than a Santa hat, reindeer antlers or a red shirt.) For the safety and security of our children all chaperones need to be in tops that are easily identified as being with the group they are walking with. Throwing candy from your entry is NOT allowed. We do not want anyone injured running into the Parade Route to get candy. However, we encourage you to walk along the route beside your entry to HAND out treats or specialty items.
We hope you will participate in this year’s Parade and know this will be a magical experience for you and those attending the parade.
Entry fee schedule:
School Club/Organization - $35, Each School Club or Organization will pay a separate entry fee
Walking Units - $50
Churches andSmall Business - $100
Motorcycles, horses, etc - $10 each
Large Business - $250
