Stay Warm for the Holidays 

Albany Recreation & Parks is hosting a blanket drive for senior citizens.  Help someone stay warm this winter by donating a new blanket or throw.  Donations will be accepted through December 5th at the following locations:  Recreation & Parks office at 1301 N. Monroe, Lockett Station Community Center at 234 Lockett Station Road, WZBN 105.5 FM at 235 Roosevelt Avenue, Suite 204, all Albany Fire Department Stations, Dougherty County Sheriff's Office at 225 Pine, or Dougherty County Police Department at 2106 Habersham Road.  For further information, contact Tee Taylor at 430-5222.

Holiday Party 2018


Holiday Party 

Albany Recreation & Parks along with the Albany Area Arts Council and Albany Symphony Orchestra  will present the Holiday Party from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 8 at the Arts Council (215 N. Jackson Street).  Lots of art activities for all ages including hand-made holiday cards and ornaments, along with a visit from Santa at noon-1:00 pm.   FREE admission! Let the Shopping Begin! A Trip for Seniors ages 55+Let the Shopping Begin

Join us as we shop for the holidays and visit Tallahassee on Wednesday, December 13.  Shopping locations will include Governor's Square Mall and Country Dollar.  We'll eat lunch at Earley's Kitchen (additional fee of $10 for lunch).  Reserve your seat on the van for $10.  Registration will be held until all spots are filled. 'Tis the season for fun, games, crafts and sports! Join us for our 2018 Holiday Camp! Registration will begin Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Camp will be held from December 20-21, 2018. The attendance fee is $5, and breakfast, lunch and snack will be served.  Payments can be made in the form of cash or money order in the exact amount at the Bill Miller Community Center, Carver Community Center, Henderson Community Center and Lockett Station Community Center.  For more information, please call (229) 430-5222.

Come enjoy a day of fun, lunch, prizes, and entertainment!  This annual event for seniors (ages 50 and over) will be held on Saturday, December 22 at 11:00 am.  Special guest speaker is Michael Fowler, Dougherty County Coroner.  Purchase your tickets for $10 per person at the Recreation & Parks office Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm or Lockett Station Community Center Monday - Friday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.  No tickets sold at the event.  For further information, contact Tee Taylor at 229-430-5222 or 5219.
