Albany Transportation CenterATS Transportation Center

The City of Albany’s transit department is finalizing its project development and environmental study for the new transportation facility. The EA document contains a conceptual design of what the facility will look like.  The project is a multipurpose facility with transportation options for public transit, Greyhound, and local taxi services.  The project will include improved safety and security measures and ADA accessible access points. 

The Albany Transportation Center Environmental Assessment document will be available for public review and comments.  Please click here for a comment form.  The deadline for submitting all public comment forms is July 9th.   The draft document will be available for review from Wednesday, May 30, 2018 through Friday, June 29, 2018 at the following locations:

Public Meeting Notice

The Albany Transit System will conduct two public meetings to discuss proposed route modifications, new transit initiatives and the draft environmental assessment for the new proposed Albany Transportation Center. Albany Transit is interested in your feedback on our services. The public meetings will be held at the current transfer station.  Please click here for meeting agenda.

What's New at Transit-Route Shout

"Where's My Bus"!  Albany Transit System offers a new option to receiving real-time bus information at your finger tips.  This summer Albany Transit introduced it's new smart phone application Route Shout 2.0.  Transit patrons now have the option to download the Route Shout app from there Google play store or Apple store.  The feature can also be accessed from your desktop by clicking here.



ATS Employee of the Month

I am pleased to announce that Ethel Jenkins is the ATS Employee of the Month for June 2018!   As Employee of the Month, Ms. Jenkins has the privilege of utilizing designated parking at the ATS facility.   Ms. Jenkins has great overall work performance, provides excellent service and greatly displays and maintains his professionalism. Paratransit Advisory Group

The Paratransit Advisory Group meets the 1st Thursday of each quarter 
from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at an announced location. The public is invited to attend. 
The purpose of the PAG is to represent passengers with disabilities who use, 
or may use the paratransit system to ensure a high level of communication and 
education between Albany Transit System, its employees, and its passengers with
