The Flint: Construction Contract Approved
The Flint Restaurant is one step closer today as the Albany-Dougherty Inner City Authority (ADICA) awarded the “white box” renovation of 112 Pine Avenue to LRA Constructors, LLC.
The Flint is a 200-seat restaurant that will occupy 10,792 square feet of space which will include a full-service bar and event center. The submitted bid amount was value engineered to $890,565. This amount was more than the originally budgeted amount of $623,000. However, Glenn Singfield of The Flint agreed to contract with LRA separately to pay the remaining contract amount of $267,565. “This is a great day for Downtown Albany said City Manager Sharon Subadan – we are looking forward to another great and successful establishment to keep our momentum going.” Both construction contracts will be monitored by a third-party construction manager that reports to the City to ensure successful completion.
The Singfield Family stated, "We are excited about the opportunity to be a part of the renaissance of Downtown Albany, the hub of Southwest Georgia.”
